These published sides are a thin cut from the vault rows tagged Bulgarian. The years that appear on them are 1928, 1949 and 1960, and the rights picture is uneven in the same measure: a few sides fall in the 1923–46 gray band, a few are classed 1947+ risky, and a few remain unknown.
The Bulgarian Military Band takes two of the five, both tied to 1928 — 'Mina Hora' and 'Bulgarsky Narodny Hora'. The Paidushko from Yambol is issued twice under nearly the same billing: once by Tzv Blagoev Orchestra in 1949 and again by Tzv. Blagoev Orchestra in 1960, so the same dance tune bridges a decade.
The remaining side is 'Trite Puti' (Three Times), credited to the Sofia Bulgarian Orchestra with Michael Cartier and carrying no year in the published record. Orchestra wording runs through the titles, matching the military band and named orchestras that account for every side in the set.
About this hearth
Recording activity in Bulgaria grew with local and international labels in the early twentieth century, often centred on Sofia while also drawing singers and players from the provinces. Traditional sides favour diaphonic and other multipart singing, gaida bagpipe, kaval flute, gadulka and tambura; dance genres in odd metres are a hallmark. City repertoires add accordion, violin and café-style ensembles. Together the discs show how rural idioms and modern stage song coexisted in the same market before the mid-1940s.

Every recording here is a historical track sourced from a public archive and remastered through a purpose-built chain — the same fixed chain for every file, no machine-learning enhancement. The aim is simple: sound better, and meet YouTube's audio standards. Rights status differs per recording and sources are credited where known; anything still in copyright is published with attribution and removed on request.
